What MailMerge can do for YOU

The Sharepoint mail merge solution that will revolutionise communications between YOU, your TEAM and your CUSTOMERS.
Our powerful MailMerge web parts allow you to lift stored data from a list and apply it to either a Word document, eMail Message or even an SMS Message . These messages can be sent to specific people or groups of people at the touch of a button. All this occurrs in Sharepoint without the need for third-party applications (the SMS web part does require a transport provider).

Common Functionality
Additional to the specific action, a 'Campaign Summary' is created that stores the exported list items as an XML file to be used in any XML compliant application such as Office, for the ability to track campaigns in a third party application. There is also an individual 'Campaign Document' that will store a copy of the merged document with relevent meta-data. This gives the opportunity to link all merged documents to an individual list item, thus displaying all communications with that particular contact. A reference to the 'Campaign Summary' is also stored, allowing a view for documents sent against campaigns.

A couple of examples of how MailMerge for Sharepoint could be deployed in everyday situations:

Temporary suspension of power supply
Situation - The Electricity company wants to inform all customers in the S75 post code area that there will be no power on Thursday 3rd April. It is the morning of 2nd April.
Solution - Using the SMS web parts, a Sharepoint list can be drawn up of all people in the S75 area. Only one text message needs to be be created and, with one press of a button, it can be sent to all customers on the list with each message being personalised by pulling the customer's name from the Sharepoint list.
Truancy
Situation - After registration, it has been identified that 12 pupils have not arrived at school. Out of these pupils, only 3 have phoned in sick.
Solution - Using the SMS web parts, a list can be created of all absent pupils who have NOT phoned in sick. A personalised SMS text message can be sent to each of the pupils and their parents / guardians, requesting that they contact the school immediately.
